our B&B: Aosta and nature

Are you looking for the convenience of staying near the city of Aosta, without giving up the pleasure of relaxing in the countryside? Don’t look any further: La Mucca Pelosa b&b is the right choice for you. Just 7 km (4.3 miles) from Aosta city centre, it provides cosy and inviting accommodation in a tiny village surrounded by meadows, apple orchards and vineyards that extend to the edge of the forest.

the Aosta Valley

The Aosta Valley offers a wide range of things to see and do. Hiking paths, mountain biking trails and extensive ski resorts, make an open-air sports paradise, all year round. Motorcyclists can enjoy exhilarating rides along scenic winding roads, throughout the region. The central valley is particularly rich in historical and artistic features; castles, bell towers and remains from the Roman era blend harmoniously into the landscape. The side valleys are well worth visiting too: they are towered by the highest peaks of the Alps and are remarkably rich in flora, fauna and architectural heritage.

The b&b and the rooms

La Mucca Pelosa bed and breakfast is small and cosy. It is located on the ground floor of a detached house, which is surrounded by a furnished fully fenced garden. The b & b has two rooms — one double room and one triple room, both of them with en-suite bathroom — and a dining room, where breakfast is served.

Where we are

La Mucca Pelosa b&b is located in Pompiod (Jovençan - Aosta), a small village at the entrance to the Cogne valley, which is gateway to the Gran Paradiso National Park. In the surroundings, you can go for nice walks or bike rides. Besides, La Mucca Pelosa b&b is a convenient starting point to visit the whole Aosta Valley, since it is just a few minutes drive from the Aosta Ovest / Saint-Pierre motorway exit. The Aosta / Pila cable car and the train and bus station of Aosta are only a few kilometers away; a public local bus service (line 5: Aosta-Aymavilles) is available to reach them.

questions?

N.B. We point out that a construction site was opened near our B&B. The construction site is active from 7.45 to about 17.30 except on weekends. Our house is well insulated (triple glazing) but this does not mean that customers could be bothered by the noise during the time slots in which the construction site operates.
