Are you looking for the convenience of staying near the city of Aosta, without giving up the pleasure of relaxing in the countryside? Don’t look any further: La Mucca Pelosa b&b is the right choice for you. Just 7 km (4.3 miles) from Aosta city centre, it provides cosy and inviting accommodation in a tiny village surrounded by meadows, apple orchards and vineyards that extend to the edge of the forest.
the Aosta Valley
The Aosta Valley offers a wide range of things to see and do. Hiking paths, mountain biking trails and extensive ski resorts, make an open-air sports paradise, all year round. Motorcyclists can enjoy exhilarating rides along scenic winding roads, throughout the region.
The central valley is particularly rich in historical and artistic features; castles, bell towers and remains from the Roman era blend harmoniously into the landscape. The side valleys are well worth visiting too: they are towered by the highest peaks of the Alps and are remarkably rich in flora, fauna and architectural heritage.
The b&b and the rooms
La Mucca Pelosa bed and breakfast is small and cosy. It is located on the ground floor of a detached house, which is surrounded by a furnished fully fenced garden. The b & b has two rooms — one double room and one triple room, both of them with en-suite bathroom — and a dining room, where breakfast is served. On request, it is possible to rent the whole apartment, with exclusive use of the kitchen (in this case, breakfast is not provided).
Where we are
La Mucca Pelosa b&b is located in Pompiod (Jovençan - Aosta), a small village at the entrance to the Cogne valley, which is gateway to the Gran Paradiso National Park.
In the surroundings, you can go for nice walks or bike rides. Besides, La Mucca Pelosa b&b is a convenient starting point to visit the whole Aosta Valley, since it is just a few minutes drive from the Aosta Ovest / Saint-Pierre motorway exit. The Aosta / Pila cable car and the train and bus station of Aosta are only a few kilometers away; a public local bus service (line 5: Aosta-Aymavilles) is available to reach them.
On the day of your arrival, we will be pleased to welcome you from 3pm to 10pm. Throughout your stay, we owners will always be available for you: we live on the first floor of the same house where the bed and breakfast is located.
Every day, we serve breakfast from 8am to 9.30am. Weather permitting, breakfast is served in the garden, otherwise the dining room table is set for all guests.
Our continental breakfast is mainly made of local food and drinks: milk, butter, apple juice from nearby apple orchards, mountain honey, pastries are produced in the Aosta Valley.
Tell us about any special requirements: we will do our best to accommodate you.
